El Salvador marks the death of Archbishop Oscar Romero’s Murder. The right-wing death squad who killed him had a slogan: “Be a Patriot. Kill A Priest.” Oscar Romero was a proponent of Liberation Theology.

The March For Dignity and Reform provided a platform for Houston organizers and residents to sound off about their support for Comprehensive Immigration Reform (CIR). Chants of “Obama Escucha Estamos En La Lucha” and “Nuestra Tierra” rang out. The March started at the corner of Canal and Cesar Chavez and progressed to Hidalgo Park.
