Bill White’s Response to Blogger’s E-mail

Blogger dee!colonize of The Our DH Streets Blog wrote an e-mail to Mayor Bill White denouncing the policy 287(g) which turns local cops into agents of la migra. Knowing Dee I am guessing she was probably a little skeptical of traditional methods of civic participation, like e-mails, but she gave it a try. This is the response from the mayor’s office:

The Houston Police Department has received and appreciates your concern. Traffic safety is an important issue within the city of Houston. Houston police officers are reminded daily of the awesome responsibility they have been entrusted with and need to carry out their duties in a safe, courteous and professional manner. State Law, specifically Chapter 143 of the Local Government Code, sets fourth certain guidelines regarding the investigation of a complaint against a police officer. If you want to file a complaint you will need to contact the Central Intake Office at 713-308-0040.

Ok Raza, don’t forget to join the Bill Gringo Campaign, and make sure you keep writing those letters! ;)

The dirty secret of the Democratic Party is that many of them love racist and xenophobic legislation and ballot measures. Why? Because it drives Latinos to the polls and Latinos are a secure vote for the Dems, right? Nobody will say it in public, but I have heard it whispered before. Heard it from a youth insider one time.
