I think that one of the most difficult things for our people to grasp is the long-term danger of the use of such words as Latino and Hispanic.  These terms were born of an attitude of white supremacy among  Spanish and Portuguese speakers. It is shocking for some to realize that there are Hispanic Neo-Nazis who absolutley believe in the supremacy of the white race. “Hispanic,” indicates a white-Spanish origin, which I believe most of us don’t intend to claim.
